Standard of proof

Every number on this site is governed by 6 rules.

Most of what goes wrong in a recovery goes wrong at the measurement, not the intervention. These rules are published first so the results can be read against them.

Standard of proof

The 6 rules.

A number with no baseline. A gain with 4 possible causes. A saving that never reaches the accounts.

  1. 01 The baseline comes first, or it is the first deliverable.Measured against your own systems, agreed before work starts. Where none exists - common, and itself diagnostic - building one is the opening job.
  2. 02 Delivered and contributed to are different words.Where a programme had several contributors, the personally owned component is stated separately. Presenting a team total as an individual result is the most common overstatement in consulting.
  3. 03 Attribution is tested, not assumed.Where several things changed at once, the honest statement is that the outcome was measured and the cause is not isolated. A programme that cannot distinguish its own effect cannot be repeated on purpose.
  4. 04 Savings count where they land.In the accounts, not in the model. Identified opportunity, qualified pipeline and confirmed revenue are 3 different things and are never added together.
  5. 05 A decision population is not a delivered result.Items to challenge, products to substitute, sites to engage - reported as a target, never as completed removals or wins.
  6. 06 Sustainment is only claimed where it is evidenced.A result verified at handover is stated as such. Where no long-term period was measured, none is claimed - however confident the control plan felt on the day.

Naming Clients are named only where doing so breaches no obligation, always with the role and employer the work was delivered under. Otherwise the sector is given. No site identifiers, product codes or exact transaction data appear anywhere.

Verification The analysis behind any figure can be walked through under NDA - baseline, method, and the limits of what it establishes. Named references on request. If a number here cannot survive that conversation, it should not be here.

Status These engagements were delivered by Shane O’Regan in employed or contracted roles. None is presented as work carried out by TransFormX Consultancy Limited, incorporated 11 September 2026.

8 documented recoveries, each with the movement it produced and the limit of its own evidence.
